A unified goal to
Lift Local Idaho

Lift Local Idaho is an active and growing statewide coalition of concerned citizens, civic organizations, chambers of commerce, business leaders, large employers and small businesses, advocacy groups, and local elected officials.

Lift Local Idaho was founded in 2023 by Casey Lynch, Idaho local and CEO of Roundhouse, with widespread interest from business leaders, advocacy groups, and concerned citizens from all parts of the state. The work of Lift Local Idaho is inspired by the efforts of dozens of individuals, spanning decades, to expand local option authority across Idaho.

Lift Local Idaho is a nonpartisan not-for-profit organization. Contributions are not tax deductible.

Lift Local Idaho will make primary and general election endorsements. Our candidate questionnaire is available here.

Our coalition

Members of the Lift Local Idaho coalition are aligned around the mission of giving voters in local jurisdictions the right to directly address their community needs.

This includes the ability to utilize municipal revenue to fund local infrastructure projects and to enhance local services like water networks and fire departments.

This tool, a form of local control called “local option,” will give voters across Idaho the ability to fund local projects if and how they choose — bolstering local prosperity by keeping community funds IN the community.
